Steel waste from an industry manufacturing circular saws and cutters, repurposed into a room divider. Walking into the scrap yard of a factory, we witnessed a gold mine of metal scrap from which we decided to select the perfect punched rounds that are generated every 40 seconds on their high-precision German machines. With high-carbon steel having highest hardness and lowest ductility, making a perfectly erect structure while keeping the weight under a certain limit was both challenging and exciting. 1800 pieces of round punches in varied sizes, were welded together in a shape that flows with the interiors of the client’s palatial house.
