What?

A blend of coffee raking patterns with the tribal tattoos engraved on hand-polished veener pieces combined with intricate vibrant wood and copper pieces, translates a hand illustration into a beautiful 3D wall mural. A collaborative effort between illustrators and the best wood craftsmen, the holistic approach of farming and processing of a Starbucks farm to cup is finely detailed in this artwork.

Why?

Process

The journey of the coffee bean is complex, diverse, and deeply personal. This 15 feet artwork designed with influences of Godna art, represents the bean to cup journey undertaken by the tenacious farmers at the Starbucks coffee estates. Godna is a form of a tattoo art prevalent in the tribal women of Chhattisgarh who believe that these tattoes are the only ornaments that remains with them even after death. The striking art form is a blend of mystery, pattern, colors, and humor. It depicts a modern psyche story yet keeping the tribal art and local element of Chhattisgarh alive
